© Mae Engelgeer | Mae Engelgeer’s patterns consist of graphic elements in asymmetrical compositions, inspired by the works of Dutch Modern artists. In this harmonic composition, negative and positive elements are positioned at irregular intervals in a vertical striped formation. Thin horizontal lines in alternating colors of cotton yarns make up the stripes, which are woven on a nylon warp and rayon weft. Hushed neutral colorways are accompanied by rich “Golden”, “Wine”, and “Blue” shades, along with high-contrast navy/beige, and black/white combinations.
