© Museum of New Mexico | Inspired by beaded panels artfully created by the Ndebele people of South Africa (ca. 20th century), designer Kari Pei crafted this contemporary woven textile wallcovering. Adire is part of our "Origins" collection of patterns based on indigenous artwork seen at The Museum of International Folk Art in New Mexico. Combining recycled content with a low-emitting Crypton® Green finish, the textile wallcovering is resistant to water and stains and cleanable with diluted bleach. For a Type II version of the same pattern, refer to Natalia.
Through Wolf-Gordon’s partnership with the Museum of International Folk Art, a branch of the Museum of New Mexico, our Design Studio interacts with precious artifacts from cultures around the world. The resulting wallcovering patterns are part of our "Origins" collection, which translate distinctive craft into relevant design for today’s commercial interiors.
