Products for Healing Environments

Just as each patient requires personalized care, each Wellness space demands specific design solutions. Wolf-Gordon offers finishes ranging from RAMPART® and RAMPART Resolve PVC-free flexible wall protection to Scuffmaster® paint and upholstery textiles in super high-performance constructions.

Because of their focus on active, short-term inpatient treatment for severe injury, urgent illness, or surgical recovery, Acute Care interiors require design that stands up to the challenge of high impacts and heavy traffic.

  • RAMPART and RAMPART Resolve® flexible wall protection have the high impact resistance needed to withstand strikes and scuffs from wheelchairs and other medical equipment. Install RAMPART railroaded for a heavy-duty wainscotting solution.
  • Digitally printed RAMPART and Type II wallcoverings offer custom, site-specific patterning and murals to promote upbeat moods in pediatric areas or peaceful, biophilic influences in areas of reflection and staff break rooms. They are also ideal as wayfinding solutions. WG Customs Lab can help you produce durable, scrubbable, bleach-cleanable wall protection.
  • Coated upholstery textiles that withstand hospital-grade cleaners and disinfectants are practical, safe solutions that meet the stringent cleaning standards of acute care facilities. Hyphyn™ biodegradable vinyl, silicone, and polycarbonate polyurethane textiles are among our highly sustainable options.

Designing for ambulatory care facilities requires a balance of aesthetics, functionality, and safety.

  • Custom-printed Digital RAMPART wall protection aids in wayfinding while protecting walls from medical equipment strikes. To install it on existing walls with irregular surfaces, use RAMPART Stronghold® wall liner to create a smooth substrate for applying RAMPART.
  • Wood Veneer wallcoverings are a sustainable, easy-to-maintain, and beautifully biophilic option to add richness, warmth and a touch of nature to lobbies and waiting rooms.
  • Scuffmaster Paint is known for its industry-best scrub ratings and has recently been reformulated to even higher levels of performance. Its durability allows for frequent cleaning with less maintenance over time. Plus, it can be customized to match any color at no extra cost.

Interior products that promote a therapeutic and supportive environment are paramount for behavioral health facilities.

  • RAMPART and RAMPART Resolve wall protection are highly impact resistant and flexible enough to wrap 90° corners without the need for corner guards or trim pieces. Compared to other wall protection products, they provide minimal pick points.
  • Woven upholstery textiles in a wide range of colors and patterns with high Wyzenbeek ratings are durable and easy to spot clean, and their soft hand is perfect for soothing, comfortable, and sensory-friendly seating applications.
  • Digitally printed Type II wallcovering murals aid in wayfinding, improve aesthetics, and create a warm atmosphere in behavioral health facilities. Like RAMPART, wallcovering murals provide fewer pick points. Collaborate with WG Customs Lab to create imagery suited to your specific facility.
  • GATHER®  Acoustical wall panels mitigate distracting, stressful noise and provide up to 0.90 NRC of sound absorption.

Long-term care facilities prioritize safety, comfort, durability, and a home-like atmosphere.

  • RAMPART flexible wall protection is available in a range of biophilic and hospitality-influenced patterns, all of which can be railroaded for an elegant wainscotting solution.
  • Wood Veneer wallcovering warms up a room and creates a sense of calm and well-being, promoting a more inviting and less institutionalized environment.
  • High-performance textile wallcovering provides senior living facilities with the subtle sheen and woven textile aesthetic seen in hospitality environments, paired with Type III durability, bleach cleanability, and impact resistance.
  • Coated vinyl, polyurethane, silicone, and hybrid upholstery textiles facilitate easy cleaning and provide moisture barriers.

Products Used Throughout Facilities

These most highly trafficked areas in any wellness facility require easy-to-maintain, scuff-resistant, and impact-resistant products.

  • RAMPART and RAMPART Resolve flexible wall protection wraps 90° interior and exterior corners and can be railroaded up to 27 yards without seams, trims, or chair rails, providing continuous protection and creating fewer spaces for bacteria to grow.
  • The industry-leading durability of Scuffmaster paint means that walls can be cleaned more frequently and require far less maintenance and repainting than other commercial paint products. Finishes like Armor™ and Armor XL™ add an extra layer of protection.

Create areas of respite where staff can collaborate, get work done, and relax from their intense shifts.

  • GATHER Acoustical wallcoverings balance design and function, providing sound mitigation up to 0.90 NRC so that providers can focus on their work. Our machine-washable, sheer acoustical drapery textiles in soothing colors and patterns absorb sound without blocking out sunlight.
  • Our extensive library of Type II Contract Wallcoverings includes patterns, embossed textures, and colors for every interior. Because they are durable, long-lasting, and easy to clean, maintaining them is a breeze.
  • Groundbreaking Hyphyn™ Biodegradable vinyl textiles deliver the performance of high-quality coated upholstery with a sustainability bonus: this material biodegrades up to 90% in 24 months in landfill conditions, at the end of its useful life.

Regions Birth Center

For the design of this St. Paul, MN Birth Center, BWBR aimed to infuse the space with the warmth of a hospitality environment while ensuring maximum protection and ease of cleaning of high-traffic areas. RAMPART flexible wall protection in pattern Sparta was a perfect solution. In common areas throughout the facility, Wonderwood® wood veneer wallcovering in Australian Walnut, Qtd was chosen, achieving the aesthetic appeal and benefits of natural wood at a more cost-effective rate compared to traditional wood panels.

Sensory Havens

As awareness of the needs of neurodiverse patients has increased, so has the demand for sensory-safe and sensory-aware spaces—especially in wellness facilities. Wolf-Gordon has a wide selection of products ideal for these environments.

Our double- and single-sided blackout drapery textiles are engineered with multiple light-blocking layers, including a layer infused with carbon black pigments designed to block out sunlight. These draperies can be used to control and mitigate the amount of light in a room.

We offer a variety of hybrid upholstery textiles with inviting textures and colors for sensory play and self-soothing. Textiles like Moonglade, Skye, and Stripe Zone are perfect for sensory room seating applications because of their soft feel, stain resistance, and impermeability.

These dynamic wallcovering panels dampen distracting, stressful noise and provide up to 0.90 NRC of sound absorption. The engraved, cutout, and three-dimensional designs can be customized in your choice of color combinations, or WG Customs Lab can digitally print the panels with your chosen artwork.

Our newly formulated Scuffmaster finishes have extremely low VOCs, no Red List ingredients, and industry-leading scrub ratings, making them ideal for creating spaces that support human health and withstand scuffing and regular cleaning.

Installed in millions of square feet in all types of facilities, Wink clear dry-erase coating can turn any smooth surface—of any color—into a whiteboard. This low-VOC paint creates an opportunity for temporary, sensory-safe drawing, writing, and play.
