© Museum of New Mexico | A graphic zig-zag pattern found on a clay vase seen at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, New Mexico, was the inspiration for this hand-drawn layered pattern. The abstract line work, based on design systems created by Native Americans from the Acoma Pueblo, was crafted in a complex, layered fashion that references basketry, textiles, and painted pottery. The southwestern landscape influenced the soft, muted tones, which are splashed with hits of color that speak to contemporary global design.
Through Wolf-Gordon’s partnership with the Museum of New Mexico, our Design Studio interacts with precious artifacts from cultures around the world. The resulting wallcovering patterns are part of our "Origins" collection, which translate distinctive craft into relevant design for today’s commercial interiors.
