Stitched
Stitched is derived not from a basket, but from a coffee table base by eighth-generation basket sewer Angela Stoneworth, who innovates in sculptural form and large-scale furniture constructions. Her sturdy coiling and sewing lend structure to the organic fibers, enabling them to support a glass tabletop. Stitched stays true to the directionality of Stoneworth’s sewing, however, the horizontal rows of stitches form vertical stripes when seen from a distance.
