This grille-like pattern was inspired by the wrought iron decorative gates and fencing forged by master Gullah blacksmiths and seen throughout towns and cities in the Lowcountry. The easy, graceful geometry of this pattern belies the extraordinary skill required to work iron into a consistent design.
